Eurostar is a high speed train linking London St Pancras and Paris Gare du Nord (495km - 307 miles) via the Channel Tunnel at speeds up to 300km/h (186mph). The Eurostar started running in 1994. It carries passengers, not cars, every hour or so 7 days a week except Christmas Day. Fastest journey time is just 2h 15min, non-stop.
